Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Finding the right therapist can be a difficult and overwhelming process. In order to help ease this process and ensure that we are a good fit to work together, I offer a free initial phone consultation (15-20 minutes).

During the initial phone consultation, you will have the opportunity to learn more about my therapy style and ask me questions to get a better understanding of what it might be like to work together. I will also have the chance to learn more about you, your background, and what you are seeking in therapy. This will help us mutually determine whether I am the best person to help you meet your therapy goals. If we decide to work together, we will review logistics such as policies, procedures, fees, and scheduling. If after the consultation it is determined that I am not the best fit for your needs, I would be happy to provide you with referrals for providers who may better match what you are looking for.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some seek self-exploration and growth while others want to learn how to cope with life’s challenges. If you find yourself feeling stuck or unsure how to make healthy changes in your life, therapy can provide a helpful space to explore and address these concerns and build resilience and empowerment to lead a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, which is dependent on each individual’s needs and desires. Individual therapy consists of 50-minute sessions, and most clients receive the greatest benefit by engaging in weekly therapy. I approach the first couple of sessions as consultation appointments, which allows us to get to know one another and ensure that we are a good match to continue working together. If we decide to move forward in our work, we will collaboratively determine a treatment plan that best fits your needs.

I have training and experience working with a wide array of concerns, including but not limited to:

I have specialized training, experience and interest working with trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ folks, individuals looking to explore cultural/identity issues, college/graduate students, and individuals in polyamorous/consensually non-monogamous/kink/BDSM relationships.
